This all-South African tour includes a visit to South Africas
most renowned game reserve namely, the Kruger National
Park well known for its diversity of habitat and
wildlife. On the way to the Kruger Park, we will have time for some
spectacular sight-seeing along the Blyde River
Canyon, one of Africas natural wonders.
We will also take you to the 5-star Tshukudu Game Lodge
for a 2-night stay. Interestingly enough, this lodge is
more than just a game lodge it has a lion breeding
programme aimed at keeping healthy numbers of lions that
can be re-introduced to various reserves countrywide. Here one can
also share in unique encounters with orphaned animals,
meeting them up close and personal you will meet
Savannah the lodges resident cheetah and you will also have the
chance to touch an elephant.
After enjoying all the game-viewing opportunities in the
Mpumalanga area, you will experience the thrill of South
Africas Sun City Complex, which comprises a large
collection of restaurants, waterpark
activities, shopping & entertainment
venues, as well as a multitude of leisure and adventure
activities on offer from hot-air ballooning to
elephant-back riding.

ITINERARY
Please note that the itinerary below could be running in reverse or
other changes may occur due to accommodation availability or other
unforeseen circumstances.
Day
01: |
Upon arrival at Johannesburg International
Airport, you will be met by a local tour guide for the
start of your South African tour. Departing Johannesburg, you will
arrive at your first overnight destination (approx. 2.5 hour drive
from Johannesburg) Dunkeld Country Estate this
upmarket Trout and Game Lodge, situated just
outside the small town of Dullstroom, is the perfect place to relax
and unwind after your long international flight.
Depending on your arrival time at the lodge, the remainder of the
day is for you to enjoy at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at
Dunkeld Country Estate.

Day 02:
|
Today you will have a full day to spend at Dunkeld Country
Estate, with the opportunity to partake in the various
activities on offer at the lodge. You could try your hand
at Trout fishing whatever you catch is prepared
for your dinner that night. Other optional activities include
walking and eco trails, birdwatching, horse-riding,
mountain-biking as well as game viewing to observe the
resident antelope species found in the area.
Game viewing may be undertaken either on foot or by horseback.
All meals are included. Another night will be spent at Dunkeld
Country Estate.

Day 03: |
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Dunkeld Country Estate for
the well-known Kruger National Park, stopping
en-route for lunch at Pilgrims Rest, where you
will have the opportunity to explore living history in this
old mining village where gold was first discovered.
After lunch, we continue on our way towards Kruger National
Park.
The park was established in 1898 and stretches for
350kms from south to north along the Mozambiquan border to
where South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe meet. Well known for its
diversity of habitat and wildlife, Kruger offers visitors an
excellent opportunity to experience close encounters with
elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard in a natural
unfenced environment. Wild dog, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and a
variety of other species are also indigenous to this park.
Late afternoon arrival at our hotel, situated
outside one of the park gates. If time permits, we may enter the
park for a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Protea
Hotel Kruger Gate.

Day
04-05: |
The following 2 days will be spent
enjoying the game-viewing in the Kruger National
Park with early morning and late afternoon departures from your
hotel. Return to your hotel during the heat of the day for some
leisure time. Optional night game drives can be arranged from here
to view the nocturnal nightlife present in the reserve. All meals
and accommodation at Protea Hotel Kruger Gate.

Day
06: |
This morning after breakfast, we depart the Kruger area and head
towards our next destination. We will stop along the way to view the
spectacular scenery along the Blyde River Canyon,
one of Africas natural wonders. En route enjoy a stop at
God's Window, Mac Mac Falls and Bourkes Luck
Potholes - cylindrical holes formed by the swirling waters
at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers.
After lunch we will make our way to Tshukudu Game
Lodge a Big Fiveparadise where animals can be enjoyed
in their natural habitat on a smaller scale than in the Kruger Park,
increasing the chances of excellent sightings and preserving a
private atmosphere. Enjoy a night of luxury at the
lodge.

Day 07: |
Today we will have a full day to spend at
Tshukudu, providing the opportunity to take part in the
various game activities on offer. Tshukudu emphasises the
conservation of the vegetation, animal, insect and bird life in the
area. Share in unique encounters with orphaned animals, meeting them
up close and personal you will meet Savannah the lodges
resident cheetah and you will also have the chance to touch an
elephant.
Tsukudu also has a lion breeding programme aimed at keeping
healthy numbers of lions that can be re-introduced to various
reserved countrywide. We will once again overnight at Tshukudu Game
Lodge.

Day 08: |
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Tshukudu and head towards
Naboomspruit where we will spend the remainder of
the day relaxing at Ndegi Ranch, a 1800 hectare game
ranch. There a number of great hiking and walking trails on
offer, which provide one with wonderful game and
bird-watching opportunities or one could visit the fully
accessible bird hide. Mountain bikes are also available, in
additional to a tennis court and golf driving range.
For those of us who would prefer to relax, you will have the time
to take in some sun whilst relaxing around the swimming pool
and thatched lapa area. Dinner will be served in the
communal boma and we will overnight at Ndegi Ranch.

Day 09: |
This morning we will drive towards your next destination
Sun City. After checking-in, enjoy some leisure
time before lunch, which will be served at one of the many
restaurants within the Sun City complex. The afternoon is for you to
enjoy at your leisure, providing the opportunity to partake in the
many activities on offer. Dinner and overnight at Sun City
Hotel.

Day 10: |
Today is also for you to enjoy the full day at leisure at
the Sun City Complex, allowing clients the opportunity to
partake in the various activities on offer at the Sun City complex,
including game drives, elephant back safaris,
golf, casino, balloon
safaris, cinema, health spa, parasailing, swimming, water
sports, horse-riding and many more activities to choose from. In the
evening enjoy the Odyssey Show in the Super Bowl
followed by dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 11: |
This
morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we will depart Sun City and
head back towards Johannesburg (approx. 2.5 hours
drive). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, followed by a
Pretoria City Tour. Late afternoon check-in at your hotel. We will
spend our final night in Pretoria
, dinner
and overnight at the City Lodge, Morningside

Day 12: |
Today, depending on your international flight
departure times, you will have some leisure time for
shopping (time permitting) before your airport transfer for your
homebound flight.
