Come and experience the pulsating rhythm of the Cape that makes South Africa's "Mother City" such a popular holiday destination.

From sampling our local cuisine and trying some of our award-winning wines, to taking in the scenic beauty of the Cape Peninsula, in this short week we will show you the best that Cape Town has to offer.

Enjoy a couple of exciting days and nights relaxing in Cape Town whilst taking in the various sights and sounds, from local sight-seeing to boating, whale-watching (seasonal), and of course, no visit to Cape Town would be complete without a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain - Cape Town's most famous landmark.

ITINERARY

Please note that the itinerary below could be running in reverse or other changes may occur due to accommodation availability or other unforeseen circumstances.

Day 1: Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a local tour guide and welcomed into South Africa’s popular "Mother City". You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Afterwards we will transfer to Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – Cape Town’s premier shopping and entertainment complex – to enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants. After lunch, we embark on a city orientation tour. Late afternoon return to your hotel for time to freshen up before dinner. Overnight at City Lodge Hotel, Waterfront.

Day 2: Cape Town

Today will be a full day’s excursion where we will take a scenic drive along the Cape Peninsula. Included in todays’ excursion will be a short boat cruise to Seal Island to view our large Cape Fur Seal Colony. At the tip of the Cape Peninsula you will find Cape Point situated within the Cape Peninsula National Park where we will transfer to the lighthouse lookout by funicular or on foot for spectacular views over the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

Lunch will be served en route at a local seafood restaurant. After lunch we will visit Boulders Beach to view our resident African Penguin colony. In the evening we visit Signal Hill for a sunset view over Cape Town, followed by a transfer to the V&A Waterfront for dinner. Overnight at City Lodge, Waterfront.

Day 3: Cape Town

After a leisurely breakfast at our hotel, we depart for a morning tour to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – Cape Town’s largest garden, showcasing only plants that are indigenous to South Africa. Enjoy lunch in the garden, followed by an afternoon excursion to Cape Town’s most famous landmark - Table Mountain - no visit to Cape Town would be complete without a cable car ride to the top of the mountain. Late afternoon return to your hotel with time to relax and freshen up before dinner. Overnight at City Lodge, Waterfront.

Day 4: Cape Winelands

Today we will we transfer to the Cape’s breathtaking Winelands areas of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, enriched in culture and history. Here we will enjoy a full day’s wine-tasting at various award-winning wine estates, whilst enjoying beautiful scenery. We shall enjoy lunch at one of the local estates. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Traditional African dinner will be served at Mama Africa Restaurant. Overnight at City Lodge, Waterfront.

Day 5: Hermanus

After breakfast, late morning departure for the coastal holiday village of Hermanus, situated approx. 1.5hrs drive from Cape Town. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in town, followed by leisure time for shopping, etc. Hermanus is famous for its wonderful whale-watching opportunities, especially of the Southern Right whales (main whale-watching season runs from July – November). Overnight at City Lodge, Waterfront.

Day 6: Cape Town

This morning is for you to enjoy some leisure time or shopping at the Waterfront. Today we will enjoy an ethnic lunch experience at Lelapa Restaurant – situated in the midst of Langa, one of Cape Town’s local townships, while traditional Marimba dancers entertain us.

During the late afternoon we will depart from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a sundowner cruise on board a boat called 'Alice'. Travelling via Mouille Point and Seapoint, we will arrive in Clifton where we will enjoy a barbeque on board whilst taking in one of Cape Town’s stunning sunsets. Kayaking is also available from the boat. We shall return to the Waterfront after sunset. Overnight at City Lodge, Waterfront.

Day 7:

Depending on your international flight departure times, your airport transfer will be arranged to connect with your outbound flight.
